|The project consists of the re-construction of the mainline highway and the construction of a new interchange at Nahr El Mout area |
The main line will be a four lane dual carriageway, with 0.9 km length linking Daoura to Jal El Dib. The existing steel bridge will be dismantled and replaced with a two lanes prestressed concrete bridge with a u-turn branch towards Zalka for traffic heading north. Another two lanes prestressed concrete bridge will provide the movement from the northbound of Sin El Fil boulevard and the northbound of Daoura-Nahr el Mott highway to the eastbound of Metn Expressway and towards Beirut for the traffic heading south.
The works include but without limitation, the following main elements:
. A900m dual 3 lanes carriageway at Nahr El Mout area, linking Daoura to Jal El Dib.
. Three bridges overpasses with total length of approximate 500m.
. Reinforced concrete retaining walls.
. Two pedestrian steel bridges total length 90m.
. Box culverts for storm drainage.
. Stormwater drainage network.
. Utilities and utility relocation, including M.V cables, water supply and sewerage mains.
. Irrigation network including water tank and pumping station
. Traffic signals.
. Traffic signs.
. Miscellaneous works such as road marking and sidewalks
