The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction, Eng. Nabil El-Jisr, on behalf of the Lebanese government, the French Ambassador, M. Bruno Fucher, and the Director of the Mediterranean Region of the French Development Agency (AFD), Mrs. Marie Helene LOISON, on behalf of the France, signed the Loan and Grant Agreements between Lebanon and the French Development Agency: 34 million euros for the loan and 15 million euros for grant. The loan aims to finance the pilot sewage project in Wadi Qadisha. The donation of 15 million euros is aimed at financing two forestry projects and improving the living conditions of the poorest people in areas affected by the consequences of the Syrian crisis. The President of CDR also met with Mrs. Loison and the accompanying delegation. The Agency funded agreements were reviewed and the funding support program for Lebanon was presented after the CEDRE conference, in which AFD participated.
