A meeting was held at the Grand Serail which included Prime Minister Mr. Najib Mikati, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Samir Mokbel, Head of Parliament Committee of Public Works,Transport, Energy and Water MP Mohammad Qabbani, a number of MPs and The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction, Eng. Nabil El-Jisr. During the meeting they discussed the launching of LINOR project and reviewed its various aspects. The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction Eng. Nabil El-Jisr suggested carrying out the project in two phases. The first phase includes the implementation of the marine highway from Dbayeh to Charles Helou station and its convertors, dealing with Bourj Hammoud's dump area and converting it to public parks and implementing two home ports with oil drag lines to be connected to the existing oil installations. The second phase which is to be carried out later on includes the reclamation of the LINOR project area along with carrying out relevant roads and infrastructure.
