The President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction, Eng. Nabil El-Jisr, participated in the closing ceremony of the rehabilitation project and the reconstruction of Nahr al-Bared palestinians refugee camp, and the affected surrounding areas, at the Monroe Hotel. This project came seven years after the signing of the donation agreement worth 5 million euros provided by the Italian government and allocated to the restoration of more than 1,000 residential and commercial units from damaged buildings and rehabilitation of partially demolished Almahveh in the area of the camp. It was implemented in cooperation with CDR and the Central Fund for the Displaced , in coordination with the Italian Cooperation Office of the Embassy of Italy in Beirut and with the committee of the national Lebanese Palestinian dialogue and through contracts signed with the Italian non-governmental organizations operating in Lebanon and with the coordination on the ground of UNRWA and representatives of the residents of the region. The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Italy in Lebanon , M. Massimo Maruti , the Palestinian ambassador in Lebanon, M. Ashraf Dabbour, head of the Central Fund for the Displaced, M. Nicolas Habr, and the responsible of the committee file for the reconstruction of the camp, M. Marwan Abdel Aal. Speeches were given for the occasion.
