Five financing agreements were signed in the Phoenicia Hotel between CDR and the Islamic Development Bank for the sectors of roads, water and sanitation.
The agreements were signed by the president of the Council for Development and Reconstruction, Eng. Nabil El-Jisr, and the Islamic Bank Bank Group President Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali in the presence of the President of the country programs management in the Islamic Bank, Mr. Mohamed Jamal Saaati and head of the CDR financing department, Dr. Wafaa Sharafeddine and the fund coordinator Engineer Mohammed Hindawi.
Agreements totaling 372.67 million US dollars are as follows:
. Contribution to the project to provide the Greater Beirut area with drinking water (Bisri Dam) $ 128 million dollars.
. Developping and managing the sanitation project in the basin of Ghadir: 87.50 million dollars.
. Project to supply Jabal Amel region with drinking water: 60.97 million dollars.
