|The project is part of the Corridor Improvement Project and covers the Daoura roundabout by replacing the existing one-way steel bridge with a 2 way permanent carriageway viaduct of 3 x 3.50m in each direction and will allow the grade movements to operate as a roundabout |
The work comprise mainly of constructing two permanent pre-stressed post tension concrete bridges carrying traffic over the Daoura Roundabout connecting Eastbound and Westbound traffic respectively over the Daoura Roundabout. The overall length of the bridge is approximately 375m with 10 spans. The length of the bridge with the addition of the ramps at both sides is approximately 505m. Abutments and piers are in reinforced concrete.

The bridge was opened to traffic in all directions around August 10, 2008. The work completed by December 2008.
