SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE

Invitation of Contractors

 

 

The Government of Lebanon has received a donation from the Italian Government to eligible payments under the contract for the Rehabilitation of Baabda Hospital.

 

The Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) acting as executing agency for and on behalf of the Government of Lebanon, and as Employer under the Contract invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Rehabilitation of Baabda Hospital.

 

Eligible bidders are Italian Contractors bidding jointly or separately. Italian contractors must meet additional qualifications as stipulated in the bidding data sheet.

 

A complete set of Bidding Documents (and additional copies) may be purchased at Council for Development and Reconstruction - Tallet el Serail – Beirut, Lebanon, for a non-refundable fee of one Thousand US Dollars (1000 US$). The method of payment will be a bank certified cheque in favour of the Council for Development and Reconstruction. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address.

 

Bids shall be valid for a period of One Hundred and Twenty (120) days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security of 200.000 US$ (Two Hundred Thousands Dollars) and shall be delivered to Council for Development and Reconstruction - Tallet el Serail, Central District – Beirut, Lebanon, on or before Tuesday, August 19^th 2008, 12:00 o’clock noon (Beirut local time), at which time they will be opened in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend.
