Under the guidance of the Prime Minister and in coordination with the World Bank, the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) launched an initiative to modernize its procedures and work processes, with technical support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The launch ceremony was attended by the President of the CDR, Eng. Mohamad-Ali Kabbani, the UNDP Resident Representative in Lebanon, Ms. Blerta Aliko, as well as members of the Board of Directors, department heads of the CDR, and the UNDP technical team.

This initiative comes within the framework of the ongoing strategic cooperation between the CDR, the World Bank, and UNDP. It aims to strengthen institutional governance and enhance the CDR's role in implementing recovery and reconstruction projects, ensuring the optimal use of public resources and responding to citizens’ aspirations across different Lebanese regions, particularly in light of the current economic and social challenges.
